Desmond Fine Art specializes in the valuation of fine art. The firm, located in Belfast, Maine, was founded by Jo Desmond. In addition to appraisal, Ms. Desmond has over thirty five years experience in the arts as a professional artist, gallery owner and conservation picture framer with an emphasis on museum quality French matting.

Desmond Fine Art offers an extensive background in the arts, appraisal, conservation framing, and first hand working knowledge of materials and methods to assist in evaluating client needs. We work closely with museum trained conservators and other qualified professionals.
Expertise includes the valuation of paintings, sculpture, art glass, prints, drawings, site specific sculpture, murals, vintage and modern photography.
Desmond Fine Art is involved in important appraisal assignments for private collectors, major city agencies, public libraries, museums, insurance underwriters, claims adjusters, and attorneys.
